What is RVLI?

RVLI is designed to equip students with a strong biblical foundation and cultivate intentional, practical leadership through hands-on experience. With a focus on advancing the Great Commission, students will develop as globally minded leaders who understand the power of relational influence in ministry and beyond, all while having the opportunity to earn college credit.

Our Vision

River Valley Leadership Institute exists to develop globally-minded leaders to discover and live out their God-given purpose through immersive ministry training, intentional discipleship and transformative experiences.

Our Mission

At River Valley Leadership Institute, we equip leaders to advance the Kingdom of God and make a lasting impact. As you step into God’s calling, you'll grow through a dynamic mix of leadership training, character development, ministry experience and accredited academics. Choose from one of our three schools: Leadership, Worship and Missions—and discover the River Valley way through culture cohorts, hands-on ministry and life-changing encounters with Jesus.

Internship Opportunities

Questions? We have answers!

  • Yes, you can enroll in Southeastern  University  (a regionally accredited university) to work towards a degree. After two years in the program, you can complete your AML (Associate of  Ministerial Leadership) or after four years in the program, you can finish with your BSML (Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership).

  • Yes! It is most beneficial when coupled with an educational component. If you choose not to go through SEU, we highly encourage enrolling in North Central University or Pathway credentialing. Pathway is a fully online educational platform approved by the General Council of the Assemblies of God. The Biblical education provided through Pathway will build a strong theological foundation and meet the educational requirements necessary to apply for all three levels of ministerial credentials in the Assemblies of God.

  • RVLI has limited dorm/apartment-style housing available for our students. Housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis; however, students coming from out of town have priority over local students. Interns are required to pay monthly rent.

  • There are two seasons on the RVLI calendar: June-August and September-May.

  • We highly encourage everyone to have a vehicle. Due to the varied opportunities, transportation is highly valuable.

At River Valley, the next generation isn’t just tolerated; it is embraced, championed and loved. Our heart has become “what can we do for you?” rather than “what can you do for us?” We want you to do more than we ever could. You are right behind us, pushing us forward. Through the Schools of Ministry, we strive to help each student grow through a balance of encouragement, discipleship and development. Our goal is to give you the competency to advance the Kingdom of God and change the world. The best is yet to come!
