Jon Hansen (Youth)

To say I've grown during my time in RVLI would be an understatement. I have grown spiritually, I have grown relationally and I have grown so much as a leader. I think one of the things that I have valued the most about RVLI is the fact that no matter where you turn, you are in proximity to an incredible leader. Not only that, but every leader you come across wants to pour into you, and wants to help you grow into the calling you have on your life. I have yet to meet a leader that won't take the time to sit with me and talk about church, leadership, my life, or anything else I want to talk about. During my time as an intern I have been able to meet some of my best friends! And on top of all of that, it's honestly just fun to be here, helping to grow the church and learning so much along the way!

Tesa Bertell (Worship)

I jumped into RVLI after completing college, expecting experience and growth as a worship leader, and possible connections for the future. I have been so blessed to get all of this and more. More importantly, God has been working overtime on my character, and molding me into a strong, confident, humble woman of God. It has been such a rewarding experience and I wouldn't have it any other way. This internship has brought me encouraging friendships that will last a lifetime, and the benefit of working with incredible men and women of God leading the church. I am so thankful for this season of life, and how RVLI has impacted that.

Annie Judd (Design)

I think sometimes it’s difficult for Christian designers to feel like they’re doing the right major or calling because design isn’t always considered flat out ministry. That’s what I loved about RVLI; I was really shown that no matter what you do, it can be done for God’s glory and with mission. Working with the creative team at River Valley was incredible! I had the best mentors that guided my work and helped me grow in not only the quality of the work I produce, but even helped me build a basis of being a stronger creative in general. Doing Graphic Design, my passion, with the mission behind the work of spreading the gospel is a life changing experience. I feel as though RVLI strongly prepared me to design and create with full trust in the Lord and for His glory no matter what the prompt may be. It was a life changing experience to be on the team!

Johnny Grainger (Pastoral)

My time in RVLI has allowed me to wash over years of experience through a transformative process. I have been challenged to surrender and submit to the Holy Spirit’s leading in my life: surrendering to his call and submitting the landscape of my life to be reshaped and made over in His likeness. This process has challenged me to go deeper in my walk to create greater spiritual dimension in my life, by placing my relationship with Christ in a place of preeminence. Through multi-layered mentorship, men and women of faith across the ministry have poured into my life, resulting in an altered perspective of myself and ministry. RVLI is not the end or the beginning, but an immersive process equipping me for the “next step” of my calling.
